Aerotech attains milestone of $1B in shipped products

Nov. 21, 2013
The Pittsburgh manufacturer of precision electromechanical systems has been in operation for 43 years.

Pittsburgh, PA - In October, Aerotech, a manufacturer of motion control and precision electromechanical systems, surpassed $1 billion of product shipped since the company’s inception in 1970.

"This achievement validates our principle of consistent investment in research and development with a strong value proposition for our customers," said Aerotech president Mark Botos.

"Coupled with continuous improvements in our manufacturing facilities and global customer support network, we are strongly positioned for continued growth in the future," he added. "Just in the past year alone, we initiated and largely completed a multimillion dollar expansion of our US world headquarters, established Aerotech China in Shanghai, and are completing a move to larger and upgraded facilities at our UK operations. We deeply appreciate the support of our customers worldwide and the Aerotech employees both past and present who have made this milestone possible.”

Since 1970, Aerotech has designed and manufactured the high performance motion control and positioning systems. Aerotech’s precision motion control products provide the critical performance for today’s demanding applications in markets such as aerospace and defense, medical device and life sciences, semiconductor, photonics, automotive, data storage, laser processing, electronic manufacturing and test, assembly, research and development, and other applications requiring high precision, high-throughput motion solutions.
