Reis Robotics beefs up laser processing marketing

Gard Van Antwerp has been named laser applications manager for the US and Canada.

Reis Robotics, a creative pacemaker in automation with industrial robots, announces that Gard Van Antwerp has been named laser applications manager for the U.S. and Canada.

Van Antwerp will coordinate all activities involving Reis Robotics' extensive line of automation, robotics and optics for laser welding, laser cutting, laser cladding, and heat treating.

Van Antwerp holds a B.S. in industrial technology from Utah State University and an MBA from California State University, Northridge. He has been head of the North American solar market for Reis Robotics since 2008. Van Antwerp has more than 25 years of experience in capital equipment manufacturing operations and sales. He will be the author of a significant feature article on laser/robot processing in the September/October issue of Industrial Laser Solutions.
