HIGHYAG appoints managing director with experience in high power lasers

Stahnsdorf, Germany - HIGHYAG Lasertechnologie GmbH (HIGHYAG) today announced that Dr. Ing. Holger Schlüter has been appointed as new managing director of HIGHYAG.

Holger Schlüter brings 20 years of experience in the field of high power lasers for industrial applications with him, most recently as COO of Technolas Perfect Vision GmbH. Before that he held key management roles at Trumpf including as manager of development, production, sales, and service of high-power lasers in North America. He earned his diploma in physics and his doctorate in mechanical engineering from the RWTH Aachen. Furthermore, he holds several patents in the field of laser resonators and laser applications.

"HIGHYAG is known as one of the leading providers in the laser materials processing industry. I am looking forward to the responsible task of managing this company to ensure its leading position in the market," said Schlüter.

The most important goal of HIGHYAG is to deliver highly efficient products thatmeet the demanding requirements of the advanced manufacturing industry. To continue focusing on customer needs, Schlüter will investigate the current requirements in meetings with customers and partners in the near future.

HIGHYAG Lasertechnologie GmbH, a subsidiary of II-VI Incorporated, is a supplier in the laser material processing industry. Its innovative laser processing heads and fiber beam delivery systems are used for laser cutting and welding as well as for brazing in the advanced manufacturing industry.
