This Wisconsin manufacturer of transportation equipment has added a laser cutting system and more work space to its facility.

Marion, WI - Marion Body Works Inc., a manufacturer of specialized transportation equipment, has added a variety of state-of-the-art equipment to its fabrication department, including a laser cutting system, significantly enhancing the company's capabilities and both the quality and reliability of its equipment. Marion Body Works added nearly 20,000 sq ft to its facility to house the new equipment and related resources.

Marion specializes in all-aluminum products, with reportedly more experience in this area than any other US manufacturer. The company's capabilities include aluminum and steel fabrication, welding, plumbing, foam insulation, hydraulics, electrical and electronic controls, and painting.

The company has a long history of customer-focused innovation when it comes to fire & rescue apparatus, commercial van bodies and truck cabs. This new equipment makes it easier for them to design to exacting specifications.

The new equipment includes a Bystronic Byspeed Pro 4.4 kW CO2 laser cutting system and two Bystronic 100-ton capacity press brakes. Software that allows for the laser, automation, and press brakes to be managed simultaneously will also be added.
