Bystronic introduces ByAutonom laser cutting system
Elgin, IL - The ByAutonom 3015 laser cutting system will be introduced by Bystronic Inc. at an Open House on June 5 and 6, 2013. The system was developed as a machine that operates autonomously in combination with an automation system such as the ByTrans, ByTower, or ByCell or that can be operated lightly manned.
Labor tasks associated with laser setups and manned operations are significantly reduced by features like the automatic lens cassette changer, automatic nozzle changer, and automatic nozzle centering, the latter in the event of nozzle contact with a cut part. Users have the option of incorporating the ByLaser 4400 or ByLaser 6000 watt CO2 laser sources. They also have the option of a rotary axis for the processing of tube profiles.
Linear motors accelerate the ByAutonom at very high speeds, enhancing the machine with dynamics unequalled by other Bystronic systems. The acceleration is further supported by the extremely rigid machine frame and the lightweight cutting bridge.
Also new is the Condition Messenger that graphically displays the status of individual components to the operator and informs him when a component should be checked. The Maintenance Messenger displays when the machine and the laser source are due for maintenance.
"The ByAutonom simply cuts more parts and works reliably. Higher output means that the cost per part is reduced," explains Johan Elster, president of Bystronic Business Units.
The company’s North American headquarters is located in Elgin, IL.
