NKT Photonics, Birkerød, Denmark, has introduced the DC-200/40-PZ-Yb-03 single mode pulse amplfier fiber as the next generation of the DC-200/40-PZ-Yb fiber.

NKT Photonics, Birkerød, Denmark, has introduced the DC-200/40-PZ-Yb-03 single mode pulse amplfier fiber as the next generation of the DC-200/40-PZ-Yb fiber. The first fiber has been a high performing flexible ytterbium doped fiber where its strict single-mode properties and 650 µm2 mode field area have enabled unsurpassed power levels and modal quality in high-end laser systems.

The -03 version has a new feature, Coil Control, which facilitates ease of use and ensures the fiber always coils correctly for optimum performance.

Key benefits of Coil Control are: 1) Ease of use; no attention to coil plane is needed; 2) improved modal stability; 3) high efficiency; and 4) simplified PM alignment using physical markers on the outside of the fiber.

The DC-200/40-PZ-Yb-03 is available as bare fiber or with high power connectors in our aeroGAIN-FLEX series. Key specifications include 10 dB/m pump absorption, 40 µm core diameter, 0.55 pump NA, and better than 15 dB PER.
