Cambridge Technology, Lexington, Mass., has announced the newest member of its galvanometer product line; the MPM30K, which is suited to demanding applications such as deep engraving, PV, and precision cutting.
These applications require smaller spot sizes (therefore larger beam apertures) and very high stability motion. Designed specifically for mirror apertures from 30mm to 50mm, the MPM30K galvanometer utilizes CTI's advanced highly stable optical position detector. Boasting 5 microradians per degree C stability over temperature and unmatched long-term stability, the MPM30K outperforms many of today's expensive digital encoder galvanometers.
The MPM30K is the company's highest performing analog galvo in this aperture range. The company developed this by combining its highest performance stator construction with its highest performance "tapered" mirror mount technology along with a stable analog position detector.
