Professional advice in the Solution Center

Oct. 4, 2011
Stuttgart, Germany - At LASYS 2012, the international trade fair for system solutions in laser material processing, the Solution Center "meet the experts" will be a point of contact for visitors with questions concerning the processing of materials with laser. Experienced experts from five renowned laser institutes will be on hand to share their expertise on all three trade fair days (12 to 14 June 2012) and to recommend exhibiting companies who offer the technology and solutions suitable for their processing problems.

"We view the opportunity for visitors to gather valuable information from the Solution Center as very important; it is a win-win situation for both visitors and experts," says Dr. Hans-Joachim Krauss, Head of Services at the Bayerische Laserzentrum (Bavarian Laser Centre). The blz, as one of the established centres of applied laser research in Germany, can provide comprehensive information on laser material processing, process monitoring and control, beam control and shaping, as well as laser protection

"The queries put forward at LASYS 2010 generally had a very specific background and focussed on immediate laser technology applications," says Peter Abels, Group Leader of Process Sensor Technology at the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology (ILT). According to the experts, they provided visitors with everything from a second independent opinion to information on completely new laser technology applications in young start-ups.

The renowned Fraunhofer Institute for Material and Beam Technology in Dresden (IWS) also regards the Solution Center concept at LASYS 2012 positively: . The long-standing experience of the IWS covers the entire spectrum of laser welding, cutting and hardening, as well as laser micro processing

The well-respected Laser Zentrum Hannover (LZH) sees the use of the laser as an opportunity to conserve resources and improve energy efficiency in many areas of industrial production and environmentally damaging processes. In close collaboration with engineers, material scientists and physicists, LZH develops comprehensive solutions for all areas of laser technology

LASYS ( http://www.messe-stuttgart.de) takes place every two years and specifically addresses users and suppliers of laser material processing solutions. Another particular feature: It boasts a wide coverage of both industries and materials. The impressive programme of accompanying events for LASYS 2012 includes, in addition to the Solution Center "meet the experts″, the Stuttgart Laser Technology Forum (SLT), the expert forum "Lasers in Action", as well as the short course "Basics on Lasers and Laser Material Processing".
