A new line of low absorption laser lenses for use with high power CO2 lasers that are designed to run cooler than conventional A/R coated lenses is being introduced by
Laser Research Optics
of Providence, RI.

Laser Research Cool-Cut CO2 Laser Lenses are specially coated to absorb <0.15% of laser energy which protects against thermal damage and provides focal length stability to assure consistent cut quality. Developed for high power CO2 lasers, they will last longer than standard A/R coated lenses, depending upon the application, claims the firm.

Direct replacements for popular standard OEM laser Lenses, Laser Research Cool-Cut CO2 Laser Lenses are available in 1.5" and 2.0" dia. sizes from 0.236" to 0.380" thick with focal lengths from 1" to 25" in 0.5" increments. Surface quality is 40-20 scratch-dig and transmission is >99.0% at 10.6 µm.
