EuroBlech has a reputation for showing innovative products for fabricators. For industrial laser suppliers, the show offers the opportunity to introduce new systems, typically to the chagrin of competitive suppliers.
This year's event continued this practice except that several product bomb shells were launched instead of the usual one or two.
Two years ago, the talk among the sheet metal cutting crowd was the innovative fiber laser powered systems being built in Italy. Although not shown at the show, they were a major topic of discussion, especially among the CO2 system suppliers.
This year, fiber laser power showed up in several surprising sheet metal cutters. The first we saw was the unit from SLT of India we featured earlier, this time in the colors of the German company, Eagle. It's the same product, but different name and distributor.
