Novi, MI - Laser Mechanisms (Laser Mech) will introduce its FiberCUT 2D processing head that delivers 6kW performance for flatbed cutting systems at the 2014 Lasers for Manufacturing Event (LME 2014), set to take place Sept. 23-24 in Schaumburg, IL.

Featuring automatic, programmable focus with 25mm of travel, FiberCUT 2D is a fully sealed, purged design that minimizes the chance of internal contamination. It features two cover glasses—one below the focus lens and a second below the fiber to protect collimator optics. Sealed access doors prevent contamination when cover glasses are serviced.
A Lasers for Manufacturing Summit, to be held Sept. 22 preceding LME, will bring together C-suite and other top executives who want to hear first-hand expert intelligence on how to use these powerful tools most profitably in a variety of high-value manufacturing applications. Featuring in-depth presentations covering laser manufacturing, additive manufacturing/3D printing, and ultrafast lasers, the summit promises a wealth of front-line information tailored to key decision-makers seeking to maximize profits by streamlining manufacturing with lasers.
