Technifor, a division of the Gravotech Group, has introduced its TF450 50W fiber laser marking machine for direct part marking.

Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, England - Technifor, a division of the Gravotech Group, has introduced its TF450 50W fiber laser marking machine for direct part marking. The machine can integrate into a production line and mark twice as fast as the company's 30W version. Fitted with a fiber laser source, the machine is said to offer long lifetime, consistent marking quality, minimized integration costs, and reduced maintenance and production cycle time. The machine's 50W beam vaporizes material to enable deeper engravings, especially in harder materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and brass, that must remain legible after applying a coat of paint or surface treatment. Applications include automotive (engine block and chassis burning), fittings (water meter engraving), metallurgy (beam and aluminum profile burning), cutlery, armory, the medical industry, and others. The machine has been tested and approved for cutting of thin metal sheets up to 3mm thick.
