Tapered laser diodes

Pantec Medical Laser will present its newly developed technology, called fam, at Photonics West 2014.

Ruggell, Liechtenstein - Pantec Medical Laser will present its newly developed technology, fam, to the public for the first time at Photonics West 2014 in San Francisco. The proprietary fam technology for tapered laser diodes results in the highest spatial and spectral brightness from a single emitter available in free-space, fiber-coupled and second harmonic versions.

Benefits of fam include: High brightness and power, direct electric modulation, compactness and efficiency, efficient fiber coupling over full power range (3 -500 W), and a broad range of wavelengths (670 nm, 800-1100 nm, nonlinear conversion into visible 400-500 nm and to the IR 1.5-5.5 micron).

Furthermore, Pantec will give a talk on fam with the title “Aplanatic beam shaping for diffraction limited beam circularization of tapered laser diodes” at the LASE conference:

LASE: High-Power Diode Laser Technology and Applications XII
Session 7: High Power Diode Laser Optics
Monday, 3. February 2014, 1:40 pm - 2:00 pm
Title: “Aplanatic beam shaping for diffraction limited beam circularization of tapered laser diodes”
Speaker: Clemens Hagen, Pantec Engineering AG, Liechtenstein

Pantec Medical Laser also offers its well-established laser platform, 3mikron, which is based on diode-pumped solid state lasers (DPSS lasers) delivering up to 30 W and operating at wavelengths of 2 to 3 micron.

Pantec Medical Laser is at booth #112, South Hall.
