DILAS celebrates its 20th anniversary

In November 1994, diode laser maker DILAS was founded in Mainz by a group of eight people with a vision to generate light for industrial applications, using high efficiency of high-power diode lasers.

Mainz, Germany - In November 1994, diode laser maker DILAS was founded in Mainz by a group of eight people with a vision to generate light for industrial applications, using high efficiency of high-power diode lasers.

In the last 20 years, the company has developed innovative technologies for stronger, smaller, lighter, and more powerful diode laser products. Today, with over 300 employees in manufacturing and research/development facilities in Europe, North America, and Asia, the company's products are an essential part of business for medical, pumping, lighting, defense, and materials processing industries.

Dr. Marcel Marchiano, the company's president and CEO, says that the company is now thinking about how to improve its efficiency and performance through greater standardization and automation.
