3D printing center to open in Singapore starting in 1Q 2015

Ultra Clean Holdings, Inc. will offer 3D printing services through the acquisition of privately held Prototype Asia LLC and the opening of its Additive Manufacturing Center in Singapore. Services will be available beginning in the first quarter of 2015.

Hayward, CA, and Singapore - Semiconductor equipment developer and supplier Ultra Clean Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: UCTT) will offer 3D printing services through the acquisition of privately held Prototype Asia LLC and the opening of its Additive Manufacturing Center in Singapore. Services will be available beginning in the first quarter of 2015.

The Singapore 3D Printing Center will support a wide array of technologies, including high-quality stereolithography, selective laser sintering, fused deposition modeling, wax jetting, and direct-metal laser sintering. It will offer services and develop intellectual property focusing on parts optimization and re-engineering for weight reduction and material savings, enablement of custom tooling creation for manufacturing, virtual warehousing, and on-demand part printing for spare, rare and obsolete parts, conformal cooling, micromechanics, and on-demand consumer product manufacturing.

The 3D printing services will serve customers in a wide variety of industries, including medical, aerospace, computer/electronics, semiconductors, consumer products, and industrial machinery.
