Tom Burns, Resonetics' CEO, explains that California is a very important medical device and diagnostics market, so the new facility will improve logistics and reduce supply chain costs for the company's West coast customers, facilitate interaction between its technical teams, and provide redundancy to meet corporate mandates for risk mitigation.
The newly remodeled facility will undergo additional improvements and ISO 13485:2008 registration, with a planned opening in late February 2015.
