GF Health Products will use the Cy Lasers’ system to produce healthcare products for the homecare, long term care, primary care, and acute care markets.

Fond du Lac, WI - GF Health Products Inc. has purchased and installed a state-of-the-art bi-dimensional fiber optic laser cutting system at its facility here. The Cyrio system is from Cy Lasers, Schio, VI, Italy.

The new system joins the company’s 2012 installation of a fiber optic laser tube cutting system.

“Our products are used in a variety of demanding environments. Quality is an absolute requirement of equipment used in healthcare facilities and we believe that the team we have in Fond du Lac, combined with cutting-edge manufacturing equipment and techniques, gives us an advantage in quality that cannot be matched anywhere in the world,” said Kurt Hellman, senior VP of manufacturing, GF Health Products.

“The market for our products will continue to grow, and this additional investment will enable us to remain a competitive force in the healthcare market,” added CEO Ken Spett. “Today’s medical equipment provides increased functionality. The ability to design specifically for laser processes yields a dramatic reduction in the cost and time required to fabricate components.”
