The app helps users quickly diagnose and fix such resistance spot welding problems as overheating, weak welds, metal expulsion, electrode sticking, and more. Users highlight symptoms or problems on the app's screen and start checking likely causes in order of priority -- from common material-related issues to electrode, weld head, and power supply related problems.

The new app is downloadable for free from the iTunes store. It is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices, using operating system iOS 4.2 or later.
