Temecula, Calif. – Goboman has commissioned a laser cutting system from LPKF: the P6060 for the domestic manufacturing of custom gobos. Gobos are templates that are used to project light patterns of a particular shape. Such devices are used widely in theatrical and event lighting, as well as product advertising. This investment in a sophisticated laser cutting system enables the company to produce highly accurate custom gobos with an instant turnaround, bringing back work that was outsourced to Asia in the past.

“We used to outsource our custom gobo manufacturing to the Far East, but most event managers do not have the luxury to wait for a custom gobo. The new LPKF laser system allows us to serve our time critical accounts instantly,” said Steve Hoffman, President of Goboman Inc.

Goboman operates its new laser system in Temecula, Calif., where it is helping to create domestic jobs. “The system is extremely easy and safe to operate and has very low energy consumption. All these factors are making the LPKF P6060 ideal to start production in California," said Hoffman.

LPKF Laser & Electronics manufactures machines and laser systems used in electronics fabrication, the automotive sector, and solar cell production.
