Boxborough, Mass. – FOBA will show its laser marking and engraving systems at MD&M Midwest, Rosemont, Ill., from September 28 to 30. FOBA systems and machines carry out laser marking and engraving tasks on medical equipment, surgical instruments and accessories such as canulas, tubes, and needles through to implants, prostheses, or bone screws.

To be shown are FOBA’s Vanadate laser marker DP10GS with IMP (intelligent mark positioning) integrated in a small table-top enclosure, good for both color change applications on various plastic materials and general marking and engraving applications on metal substrates and parts.

Also at the show will be FOBA's pulsed vector scanning fiber laser marker for a variety of metal and plastic applications that ensures absolutely traceable and permanent marks. This system’s features include a small footprint, perfect integration capability and ease of use.

Recently, the company's novel UV laser marker provided the opportunity to hygienically mark plastics that are utilized for invasive applications and procedures. Additional benefits result from FOBA’s patented camera system IMP. The position of parts is identified prior to marking and the marking/ engraving is adjusted automatically. Scrap is reduced while marking accuracy is improved.
