Laser Marking Technologies, LLC, Caro, Mich., will introduce its new Cobalt Dominator laser marking system at IMTS – The International Manufacturing Technology Show 2010, being held at Chicago’s McCormick Place on September 13 to 18.

The Cobalt Dominator laser marking and etching system features a European pulsed fiber laser source with increased depth of focus for fast, but very precise and clean permanent part marking. The pulsed fiber laser source can result in cost savings on power consumption over 300 percent compared to YAG. In addition, no chiller is required and there is no routine maintenance.

The compact portable table top unit requires minimal shop floor space with a machine foot print of 24 inch W x 28 inch D x 26.5 inch H. The system features a 160 FL lens (field size 4.33 x 4.33 inch) and a 160 FL lens max work piece.
