Ann Arbor, Mich. - JP Sales Company Inc. has announced the formation of a joint venture between CIGNYS (Saginaw, MI) and Jay Industries Inc. (Mansfield, OH) aimed at bringing the benefits of large-scale vertically integrated manufacturing to customers in the defense, aerospace, automotive, agricultural equipment, and numerous other industries.
“The collective in-house capabilities of these two firms, with their proven 90-year track record of designing and building a wide variety of products for an array of demanding OEMs, will result in a lower-cost alternative than outsourcing to multiple suppliers,” notes Todd Gensheimer, president of JP Sales. “The integration resulting from this joint venture will particularly bring new efficiencies to complex defense industry projects, among others."
CIGNYS, with metalworking expertise the chief of its several competencies, has invested tens of millions of dollars in state-of-the-art machine tools and fabricating equipment, allowing it to tackle nearly any metalworking task, from prototype part development to low or moderate volume production runs, with the utmost efficiency and precision.
Jay Industries, with both a Metals and Plastics Group, brings customers’ projects from concept and design to prototyping and production at low- to high-volume levels. The competencies of its fully vertically integrated manufacturing Metals Group include engineering and design, 5-axis machining, coil slitting, tube manufacturing, tube bending, metal stamping, laser processing, fabricating and welding, as well as e-coating and powder coating.
