Malton Laser increases profits for the third year running

Sept. 15, 2017
The company reports a turnover of £2.2 million for the past year, an increase of 18% compared to the previous 12 months.

Sheet metalworking provider Malton Laser (Malton, North Yorkshire, England) has increased growth for the third consecutive year after a significant investment in the latest fabrication technology. The company reports a turnover of £2.2 million (approx. $2.9 million) for the past year, an increase of 18% compared to the previous 12 months. It is now aiming to increase turnover by 20% over the next year.

This recent growth is partly because of the business' investment in advanced laser cutting and welding technology. It installed a new Bystronic ByStar 3015 6kW laser cutting machine, which has increased production threefold, as well as a Panasonic welding robot system to streamline its welding services, increasing the company’s capacity by up to 30%.

"To have increased our growth by 18%, particularly in a time of economic uncertainty, is a fantastic achievement for Malton Laser," says Charles Corner, managing director of Malton Laser. "The next year is set to be another really exciting one at Malton Laser, with a number of high-profile jobs in the pipeline, along with installing more new technology to further enhance our offer," he adds.
