10kW fiber laser

June 28, 2017
The HighLight FL10000 fiber laser combines the output of four individual 2.5kW laser modules into a single output fiber, reaching 10kW total output.

The HighLight FL10000 fiber laser from Coherent (Santa Clara, CA) combines the output of four individual 2.5kW laser modules into a single output fiber, reaching 10kW total output. Detachable output fiber diameters for the 10kW laser range from 150µm to 1mm. Operation is continuous-wave (CW) or pulsed at repetition rates up to 5kHz, enabling use in metal sheet and tube processing in the machine tool, automotive, energy, and other heavy industrial applications, with the right power and beam characteristics to cut, weld, and surface-treat a variety of thick metallic materials with high throughput.
