High-power pulsed fiber laser

May 2, 2017
The FP 010 1kW pulsed fiber laser delivers a maximum pulse energy of 100mJ at pulse widths between 10 and 100ns.

The FP 010 1kW pulsed fiber laser from Coherent | Rofin (Santa Clara, CA) delivers a maximum pulse energy of 100mJ at pulse widths between 10 and 100ns, and with repetition rates ranging from 10 to 30kHz. A beam parameter product of <24mm × mrad (for a 400μm, round-core output fiber) enables this power to be effectively concentrated into small focused spot sizes. Uses for the fiber laser include ablation, surface cleaning, and precision material and coating removal in a range of applications.
