2019 International Laser Safety Conference opens call for papers

Nov. 1, 2018
The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to end-of-day on November 9, 2018.

The 2019 International Laser Safety Conference (ILSC), organized by the Laser Institute of America (LIA; Orlando, FL), will take place March 18-21 at the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista South in Kissimmee, FL. This conference is composed of two tracks:

  • Laser safety scientific sessions—that is, new research and developments in all aspects of laser safety practice and hazard control; and
  • Two days of medical practical applications seminars (MPAS), followed by two days of technical practical applications seminars (TPAS) that complement the scientific sessions by exploring the everyday scenarios that laser safety officers and medical laser safety officers may encounter.

All laser safety professionals should consider presenting at this prominent laser safety event. The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to end-of-day on November 9, 2018. For more information and to submit an abstract, please review the Call for Papers and Posters.

During ILSC, the LIA will recognize leaders in the laser safety community through presentation of the George M. Wilkening Award and R. James Rockwell, Jr. Educational Achievement Award. Nominations for these awards will also be accepted until end-of-day on November 9th.
