MTL Advanced invests in automated large-format fiber laser cutting

Feb. 1, 2018
The fiber laser, which has utility in thin and fast cutting, will enable MTL to better handle large-volume production contracts.

MTL Advanced (Rotherham, England) has invested in a new automated large-format fiber laser cutting machine, which became fully operational in January 2018.

As part of an ongoing investment strategy across the company, the 6 × 2.5 m 6 kW Trumpf TruLaser 3060 fiber laser provides high contour precision and part quality. The laser comes equipped with a LoadMaster to automatically load sheets, taking the strain off operators and improving speed and productivity.

The fiber laser, which has utility in thin and fast cutting, will enable MTL to better handle large-volume production contracts.
