Fiber laser cutting systems maker Salvagnini to expand Ohio campus

June 13, 2019
The building expansion will encompass approximately 30,000 square feet of space focused on Salvagnini's fiber laser cutting technologies.

Salvagnini (Hamilton, OH), which has been serving the global metalworking industry for more than 50 years and is one of the first suppliers of a fiber laser cutting system for sheet metal, has broken ground for a new customer resource campus in Hamilton. Customer experience, innovation, and sustainability sum up the drivers behind the development of the company's multipurpose building expansion project.

The building expansion will encompass approximately 30,000 square feet of space focused on Salvagnini's technologies, including a complete line of all the company's machines, IoT utilization, service, and virtual simulations. It will feature dedicated areas for education, training, and Design for Manufacturing concepts.

The company envisions the campus as a place where visitors can explore the full scope of design possibilities and manufacturing technologies capable of taking a product from conception to finished product in the fastest, most efficient way possible.

The showroom/experience center is purposefully designed to encompass the environment, incorporating an open concept with clean lines that flow easily from the outside of the building to the interior, creating an atmosphere that is both environmentally and academically friendly. Customers, students, and employees will be encouraged to participate and engage with dedicated areas for training, observation, and testing. The campus will provide a better place to exchange ideas, transfer competencies and values, and stimulate original thinking.

Major product lines include fiber laser cutting systems as well as punching, shearing, and automatic panel bending systems, and the company is an originator of automation and 4.0 manufacturing in the sheet metal fabricating sector.

The grand opening is expected to be in the first quarter of 2020. To keep up with the building progression, please visit blog.salvagnini.com.
