Laser Zentrum Hannover undergoes leadership changes

Dr.Ing. Peter Jäschke will now take over leadership of the Composites Group of the Production and Systems Department on July 1, 2019.

HANNOVER, GERMANY – Dr.Ing. Peter Jäschke, who has led the Composites Group of the Production and Systems Department at Laser Zentrum Hannover (LZH) since 2011, has taken over leadership of the Department effective July 1, 2019, succeeding Dr.Ing. Oliver Suttmann, who is now going into industry.

Jäschke studied physics is at the Carl von Ossietzky University (Oldenburg, Germany) and he obtained his doctorate from Leibniz University (also in Hannover) with his thesis on “Laser transmission welding of continuously carbon-reinforced TPF plastic and thermoplastic polymers” in 2012. His main areas of research are the processing of plastics and composites. 

The Composites Group will now be led by Dipl.-Ing. Verena Wippo, who has been working in this group since 2011 (FIGURE).
