Indium Corporation, InnoJoin form sales partnership

Jan. 9, 2020
Materials supplier Indium Corporation has formed a new sales partnership with laser welding company InnoJoin GmbH to better serve European customers of its NanoFoil nanotechnology material.

Materials supplier Indium Corporation (Clinton, NY) has formed a new sales partnership with laser welding company InnoJoin GmbH (Bremen, Germany) to better serve European customers of its NanoFoil nanotechnology material.

Indium will continue to produce large unplated sheets of NanoFoil. InnoJoin, a long-time user of the material, will plate, cut, and provide all NanoFoil products to customers in Europe from its headquarters. The change will ensure better service for European as well as Middle East, African, and Russian customers, and facilitate the enhanced growth of the product line. All non-European sales of NanoFoil will continue as normal.

The NanoFoil material delivers energy in a controlled and precise manner for joining, energetics, and heating applications. The material, which is predictable, controllable, and affordable, is industry-accepted and proven to lower manufacturing costs while providing repeatable and reliable bonds and reactions. It has applications in many industries, including semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, biomedical, and defense markets. It is available in thicknesses of 40 and 60 µm; nanofoils of 80 and 100 µm are no longer available.
