Phillips Precision introduces modular fixturing for laser marking

Aug. 11, 2020
Ready-made fixture plates and components save laser marking companies from the cost and time it takes to design and build their own fixtures in-house.

Laser marking and welding technicians can build palletized modular fixtures that are easily removable from the machine, with the ability to be precisely reinstalled with the click of a magnet. This allows for quick swaps between fixtures in one machine and to move fixtures from one machine to the other with virtually no downtime. Ready-made fixture plates and components save companies from the cost and time it takes to design and build their own fixtures in-house.

The 52-piece Laser Arsenal fixturing bundles from Phillips Precision (Boylston, MA) are available with a choice of 12, 18 or 30 in. docking rails to fit any size machine. Additional components include multiple .5 in.-thick aluminum fixture plates, an adapter plate, plastic v-trays and a pocketed tray, magnetic v-blocks, the company's Simple-Stop rails, hole adjusters, and other standoff clamps and hold-downs.

All components in the bundles include ¼-20 threads to accept any standard hardware and existing fixturing, eliminating waste and permitting the easiest adaption to leaner modular palletization.
