High-power blue laser technology developer Nuburu (Centennial, CO) has been awarded seven new patents for visible laser technology and its applications across 3D printing and material processing.

Four of the seven patents are US Patents: No. 10,562,132, No. 10,656,328, No. 10,634,842, and No. 10,804,680; the company was also awarded Russian patent No. 2710819, Japanese patent No. 6648170, and Korean patent No. 10-2143220. These new patents join their foundational patent, 3D printing Devices and Methods (PCT/US14/35928), which was awarded in 16 countries with several other applications and continuations pending around the world, including with the U.S. patent office (2016/0067780).

The latest patents range from Material Processing with Visible Raman Laser to the technology required to build these unique single-mode visible lasers. The company also received several notices of allowances inclusive of the technology and the application of blue lasers to material processing and 3D printing.

These patents firmly establish that Nuburu invented the blue laser technology for 3D printing and material processing, says Dr. Mark Zediker, founder and chairman of Nuburu. The company portfolio widely covers blue laser technology, multimode and single-mode, as well as broad applications within 3D printing and material processing. Twenty-two patents have been awarded to date, with 90 applications currently in process for a number of claims in excess of 4000.
