Project to develop laser welding machine based on coherent beam combining

June 18, 2021
A partnership between two companies will create a 3D laser cutting and welding machine using coherent beam combining technology.

Laser welding machine maker Sahajanand Laser Technology Limited (SLTL; Gandhinagar, India) and fiber laser maker Civan Lasers (Jerusalem, Israel) have partnered to create a 3D dynamic beam laser cutting and welding machine based on coherent beam combining technology. The project will create a complete end-to-end system with dynamic beam shaping lasers.

The two companies will be presenting a completed unit at the EuroBLECH 2022 tradeshow, which will take place October 25-28, 2022, in Hannover, Germany.

This project and strategic collaboration is funded by the Israeli Innovation Authority and the Global Innovation & Technology Alliance.
