Green picosecond laser has use in precision micromachining

April 22, 2022
The IceFyre GR50 laser delivers >50 W average power and >100 μJ of green pulse energy at adjustable repetition rates from single shot to 10 MHz.

The IceFyre GR50 high-power green picosecond laser delivers >50 W green power and ultrashort pulses, and offers adjustable repetition rates, the company’s TimeShift picosecond programmable pulse flexibility, and pulse-on-demand triggering. The laser, which integrates into machine tools that operate in 24/7 manufacturing environments, has use in micromachining challenging materials such as FR4, various metals, ceramics, and glass composites.

The IceFyre GR50 laser delivers >50 W average power and >100 μJ of green pulse energy at adjustable repetition rates from single shot to 10 MHz, with true pulse-on-demand (POD) and position-synchronized-output (PSO) triggering. The laser’s TimeShift picosecond programmable pulse capability enables flexible burst operation with adjustable sub-pulse count, separation, and intensity for optimizing micromachining results. It also features the company’s It’s in the Box design, which integrates control electronics, laser diodes, and all other critical components into a compact and lightweight laser head.
