Continuous-wave DFB laser comes in four CWDM wavelengths

April 21, 2023
A 1300 nm high-power continuous-wave (CW) distributed-feedback (DFB) laser diode enables 400G to 1.6T silicon photonics-based transceivers.

A 1300 nm high-power continuous-wave (CW) distributed-feedback (DFB) laser diode enables 400G to 1.6T silicon photonics-based transceivers. It achieves output power of 100 mW uncooled and 300 mW cooled, to enable 100 and 200 Gbit/s per lane, respectively, for DR4 and DR8 transceivers. It is available in four coarse wavelength-division multiplexing (CWDM) wavelengths for FR4 transceivers.
