On behalf of The Optical Society, congratulations to the staff on the 50th anniversary of Laser Focus World.

Dear Conard,

On behalf of The Optical Society, congratulations to you and your staff on the 50th anniversary of Laser Focus World. Since its inaugural issue in 1965, Laser Focus World has served as an essential resource for engineers, researchers, and scientists. The magazine's reporting on optics and photonics industry news, trends, and product announcements provides readers with timely business intelligence.

The publication has been a collaborator in showcasing innovative applied optics technology. Our partnership for the annual CLEO/Laser Focus World Innovation Award recognizes the new and noteworthy laser science products that have impact on the marketplace.

As the laser market and related technologies have changed rapidly over the past half-century, Laser Focus World has been there to document the progress and deliver comprehensive coverage of optoelectronic and photonic technologies, applications, and markets.

Again, congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Laser Focus World. I look forward to reading more great stories in the decades to come.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth A. Rogan
