The OLS 100 laser module can be chosen to include two of several tunable lead-salt diode lasers with wavelengths between 3.3 and 9.5 µm. The liquid-nitrogen-cooled laser head includes a barium fluoride window and gold-coated parabolic mirror to provide collimation. The laser controller operates on 220 V at 50 or 60 H¥and can control the laser head temperature to within 2 mK.
