Diode-laser power supplies

Oct. 1, 1995
Two transient-protected power supplies are designed for use with the company`s high-power diode lasers. The OPC-PS4004 works at 40 A, 4 V. The OPC-PS4010 works at 40 A, 10 V. Both feature soft turn-on/turn-off and have drive-current limiters and fault-detection circuitry for diode protection. The supplies can be externally modulated to 1 kHz. The output current noise and ripple rate, at half full scale, is 0.1% rms or less.
