Optan SMD deep-ultraviolet (UV) LEDs come in a surface-mount package, offering 2 mW light output and typical L50 of 3000 hours at 100 mA. Available in an optimized spectrum for DNA deactivation from 260 to 275 nm, the LEDs have uses in biofilm prevention, biofouling control, and bioreactor decontamination.
