VCSEL arrays from Princeton Optronics available in 850 and 945 nm wavelengths
Oct. 27, 2016
A vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) array device designed for proximity sensing has both contacts from the back side and does not need any wire bonding, helping users to reduce the cost of wire bonding in volume production for cell phones. Available in 850 and 945 nm wavelengths, they offer >63% wall plug efficiency and withstand temperatures to 100°C.
