PRESS RELEASE

New 1.54um Er:glass Laser Module

Jenoptik is now offering a pulsed, flash lamp pumped Er:glass laser module. The laser designated Er-DML-1 is a single shot laser range finding module that produces 7mJ of output energy at the eye-safe wavelength of 1.54um with <40ns pulse widths and a repetition rate up to 1Hz.

It measures 1.3 x 5.5 in and weighs a mere 7 ounces. The compact, light weight design makes it ideal for long distance measurement applications and applications where high measurement rates are required. Another attractive feature of the Er-DML-1 is the ability to operate reliably under extreme environmental conditions. The ambient operating temperature of the Er-DML-1 is -40°C to +70°C. These lasers are produced under mil spec qualifications and hundreds of units have been delivered to system integrators so far.

Typical applications for the Er-DML-1 include: long distance range finding, pollutant detection, meteorology, environmental monitoring

Since 1996, RPMC has been offering high quality DPSS lasers as well as laser diodes.
