Princeton Optronics Introduces Illuminator Module at 808nm
Dec 8, 2010

Princeton Optronics Inc. introduces VCSEL based illuminator model HPIL-3W808 at 808nm which can be used with commercial silicon cameras as well as military night vision goggles. The illuminator has an output power of 3W and a size of 2x2x2" and can be used for illumination for distances upto several hundred meters. VCSEL based illuminators are free from speckle and has a beam divergence of 18 deg. Custom configuration would be available for <1 deg divergence. The illuminator does not need any cooling fan and can operate at outside temperatures upto 40 deg C. The module is ideal for integrating with silicon cameras for low cost night vision applications.

Princeton Optronics is a manufacturer of high power VCSELs and high power VCSEL arrays for diode pumping of solid state lasers, and VCSEL based illumination products delivering power levels up to 600W for commercial and military applications.
