PRESS RELEASE

Compact 1.5um Fiber Laser Transmitter!

The Mentad fiber laser from RPMC Lasers, Inc. is now available at the 1.0um wavelength. The Mentad (1.0um version) is capable of producing pulse energies up to 50uJ with pulse widths from 500ps to 1.25us and rep rates from 5kHz to 2MHz in a footprint that is close to the size of a deck of cards. (4.25 x 2.7 x 0.8in)!

In addition to the new standard 1.0um versions the Mentad is also available at1.5um. At 1.5um the Mentad can produce up to 100uJ of pulse energy with the same rep rate and pulse width specs mentioned above.

Typical applications for the Mentad include: LIDAR, range finding, telemetry, target ID, 3D and topography scanning, weather and pollutant detection, etc.
