Oxxius launches yellow DPSS laser

Dec. 22, 2009
Oxxius has announced its SLIM-550, the first yellow DPSS laser, emitting up to 200 mW at 550 nm.

Oxxius has announced its SLIM-550, the first yellow DPSS laser, emitting up to 200 mW at 550 nm. Its unique monolithic resonator guarantees outstanding performance, optical noise less that 0.2%, pointing stability less that 5 µrad, a power consumption as low as 10 W. These features make the laser ideal for fluorescence applications, enabling efficient light collection from PE, without unwanted excitation of APC. It also allows optimal excitation of fluorescent proteins such as DsRed and dTomato.

PRESS RELEASE

550 nm DPSS laser

The SLIM-550 is the first yellow DPSS laser, emitting up to 200 mW at 550 nm. Its unique monolithic resonator guarantees outstanding performance, optical noise less than 0.2 % rms, pointing stability less than 5 µrad and power consumption as low as 10W. These features make the SLIM-550 the perfect tool for fluorescence applications, enabling in particular a very efficient light collection from PE, without unwanted excitation of APC. It also allows optimal excitation of fluorescent proteins such as DsRed and dTomato.
