PRESS RELEASE

Modulight announces 7 Watt 635nm Conduction Cooled Diode Laser;
Applications include Laser Display, Medical, and Illumination

Modulight today announced a 7 Watt 635 nm Conduction Cooled Diode Laser Bar for laser display, medical, and illumination applications. Developed from the well-known 4 W bar (ML1388) that is already qualified for use in PDT and cinema projector application, the new product is the latest member of Modulight's ChiliLase red product line and produces 7 W of continuous-wave output power at 635 nm. The new laser in available as an unmounted laser bar (product code ML1515) or a low-smile CS-mounted laser (ML1806), offering Modulight's customers increased brightness for their application.

"We are excited to offer this new ChiliLase product to meet the increasing demand for high-power red lasers that we have seen over the last year since the 4W 635nm product release. The 635nm light sources are mainly targeted for medical market, as well as display and illumination applications where Modulight is already supplying a number of customers. We plan to offer these new leading edge ChiliLase laser bars also as a part of our FiberLight laser module and SparkLight system products", comments Dr. Petteri Uusimaa, President & CEO of Modulight.
