PRESS RELEASE

4.25Gbps 850nm VCSEL LC-TOSA now available.

The Optoelectronics Company is pleased to announce the release of the TP85-LCP1F, a high performance 850nm VCSEL LC Transmitter Optical Sub Assembly (TOSA) designed for high speed data communications, Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channels.

Packaged with an internal monitor photodiode for power control, this innovative device from Korean manufacturer Optowell Co., Ltd provides a circular, non astigmatic, narrow divergence beam that provides 500µW typical coupled power into a 50/125 µm 0.20NA fibre.

The TP85-LCP1F provides data rates of up to 4.25Gbps with low operating current of 7mA, low forward voltage of 1.8V typical and an operating temperature range of -20°C to +85°C.

Designed for use in Fibre Channels, Gigabit Ethernet and optical communications, the inherent reliability of VCSELs make them an ideal choice for use in a wide variety of sensor applications where the low drive current, high coupled power, narrow and circular beam make them suitable for an ever increasing number of applications.

A datasheet for the TP85-LCP1F is available at:
