Semiconductor laser manufacturer nanoplus (Gerbrunn, Germany) has opened a sales and service division in Boulder, CO, to help meet the fast-growing demand for the company's distributed feedback (DFB) lasers.

From its new Boulder office, nanoplus America will support American analyzer manufacturers with comprehensive local customer service, fast delivery time, and immediate accessibility, and offer the company's complete range of lasers and OEM modules. The company has also started to build a small-scale production and characterization laboratory at the new facility.

The company's monomode lasers for gas sensing are based on tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS). The DFB lasers are available at any wavelength between 760 and 14000 nm to measure trace gases in situ and in real time with up to part-per-billion precision.
