EKSPLA to showcase femtosecond fiber laser at SPIE Photonics West 2018

Jan. 25, 2018
The FemtoLux 3 femtosecond fiber laser has uses in micromachining, surface texturing, and ophthalmologic surgery applications.

The FemtoLux 3 femtosecond fiber laser has uses in micromachining, surface texturing, and ophthalmologic surgery applications. It delivers up to 3 W of average power and up to 2 μJ femtosecond pulse energy. The repetition rate of the pulses can be changed by its integrated frequency divider, which also enables bursts of femtosecond pulses spaced by about 20 ns with burst energy above 10 μJ. The laser can generate variable burst shapes either pre-programed or controlled in real time from a graphical user interface.
