Veridicom (Santa Clara, CA), a Lucent Technologies spinoff, and Techno Imagica Corp. (Tokyo, Japan) have announced that Techno Imagica will use Veridicom`s sensor chips in its fingerprint verification system. Techno Imagica fingerprint systems are used in identification applications that include security systems and authentication of identity for access to computer networks. Veridicom`s silicon sensor technology is expected to reduce the production cost and size of Techno Imagica`s Simony series

Veridicom (Santa Clara, CA), a Lucent Technologies spinoff, and Techno Imagica Corp. (Tokyo, Japan) have announced that Techno Imagica will use Veridicom`s sensor chips in its fingerprint verification system. Techno Imagica fingerprint systems are used in identification applications that include security systems and authentication of identity for access to computer networks. Veridicom`s silicon sensor technology is expected to reduce the production cost and size of Techno Imagica`s Simony series of optical scanning systems, which use prisms to read fingerprints. Techno Imagica president Hiroshi Koda said he expects the Veridicom technology to hel¥his company deliver its products to all segments of the personal-computer market.
