One-gram tablets of scandium oxide are available for vacuum coating onto high-power UV lasers and optics. The material is used in AR coatings and multilayer stacks and has a refractive index of 2.1 and a transmission range down to 205 nm. The tablets are 99.99% pure scandium oxide.
